Emax

Hi everyone,

I have a chance to pick up an original Emax rack for $80, and I'm 
wondering if I should. Can someone suggest questions or tests 
I should do before purchasing it? 

I've read as much as I could about it on the web, but had a few 
specific questions I'm hoping someone can answer:

1. For an original rack Emax, what kind of upgrades are currently 
available, and where can I get them? If I understand correctly 
there is an internal SCSI kit that will allow me to use an internal 
ZIP, but then how does the system boot up? How would I copy 
the OS onto the ZIP?

2. I am really interested in getting SP1200, but have been told 
that this is essentially the same sounding sampler. What I like 
about the SP though (aside from its sequencer) is that there are 
sliders that can allow you to adjust and control things 
dynamically. Is this possible with an Emax via a MIDI slider/knob 
controller? If so I'm thinking maybe getting the Emax rack and an 
MPC 60 might be a better way to go. Any thoughts on this?

3. I tried to download some manuals and MIDI sysex from 
Emulatorarchive.com, but the links are broken. Can someone 
upload the .PDF's to the files section?
