I've been using EMXP with my old EIII sample CD's and a Zip Disk, I now have plenty of sounds for my Emax II. The old OMI Universe of Sounds set is pretty awesome on the Emax, even the Emulator Standards I & II (the most common EIII discs) have new life. Not everything is coming across, I'm getting blank presets maybe 10% of the time but there's still a lot there now.
Using Translator I'm going to convert some of my EIV and Akai CD's back to EIII format and then try converting them to Emax II using EMXP.
I also thought that EMXP can convert SoundFonts, so all of the Digital Sound Factory sets would be free to convert as well:
