Chris; Great idea. I've been thinking about since 1993. I don't have the engineering, software development chops though, nor the money to pay someone. I'm a Mac user and Alchemy was my way of life for a few years there. When it died, soon my Emax II went away too. Recently, I've blown off the dust from it. I realized that I have an amazing sample library on it and there's no reason for it to sit. I also decided to put in an internal hard drive. That's for later though. Just a few weeks ago, I was trying to decide if I should buy a Serial to USB contraption to use to get Alchemy juiced up again. Anyway, if I can be of any help, I'd be happy to. I actually have a copy of Alchemy if you wanna see one. I may have an old Sound Designer 2 as well. I hope that by you using open source, this program will be usable on Mac OSX as well. Peace and good luck. homers
