Hi All!

HI there! I am new to this list, and thought I'd say hi.

John, thanks for your website and dedication to the Emax machines.
Your site has been a great resource for me.

I bought a used 2mb Emax II a few years back. I managed to get one
of the last memory daughtercards from Emu, and actually found the proper ram
chips to populate it to 8 megabytes. Unfortunately I have never got it to
recognize more than 4 megs; I called EMU about this and they said that have
to run some program and give me a code (based on a code that my EmaxII gives
them) that will "unlock" the extra RAM. My work schedule hasn't permitted
me to be home with the sampler during normal business hours, and I have been
putting it off. I hope it's not too late for someone at Emu can give me
this code.

I have an older Zip hooked up to it and have no problems. I also
have an old Apple 2x CD-Rom drive hooked up to it. I bought an old 200mb
internal HD, but havn't tried installing that yet.

The guy I bought my machine from didn't have to many banks for it; I
think he gave me the original Emu floppies for the grand piano, and some
orchestral banks. The orchestral banks seem to be corrupted, they never
load properly.

I did buy a Greytsounds Volume1 CD, which has some OK analog synth
samples, but they sound a bit dated.

So my question is, does anyone have the original Emu banks on CD? I
really want to use my Emax more, but just don't have the time to edit banks
properly.

Also, with a CD-R, does "SCSI copy" work to properly burn Emax CDs?

By the way, OWC has a 540mb Quantum 50 pin SCSI drive for $25. See:

	Thanks!
