Emax

One of my emax racks has a display the lights up blue but the 
display looks like a large ink blot in the middle of the screen. The 
characters are dim but able to be read if viewed at a spacific angle. 
I was wondering if anyone knew what causes this or if anyone knew 
simply how to resolve this problem? I wonder if it is the display 
itself or a bad EL foil?? If anyone has a guess please let me know 
what you think may resolve this problem.
