I don't have a clue what that error is. All I can tell you is that FTP client software is not always user friendly. When using it myself I often have to experiment with the settings. If using a browser, I usually find these issues are related to the computer. In otherwords, people tell me the server is not working, but when I test it on one of my computers or from work I don't have any trouble. FYI, it is not set for uploads, only downloads. Are you using IE or Netscape to go to the server? Using Internet Explorer 6 I browsed to the server and and downloaded a file by clicking on it. Netscape should work too.
