After reading a contribution in the group archives regarding a shot floppy drive preventing the unit from moving on to the hard drive to boot, I went out and got a floppy drive cleaner on a wing/prayer, and immediately following the floppy drive cleaning, my board booted from the hard drive and has continued to do so ever since. The floppy drive must have been dirty enough to have mistakenly been thinking there was an unformatted disk in the drive, even though it was empty. I wouldn't have believed it without seeing it. So far it's looking like that was the WHOLE problem. Can't boot? Try cleaning your floppy drive first and then persue more costly options if that fails. I got the "Kennsington" cleaning kit at Office Depot for about $13.00. I'm still looking forward to getting the larger drive and installing that, but the old Connor seems to be still working. So far,.....Quite relieved, Dave
