Third possibility: the original Emax does not pass thru the sample input to the main
outputs like the Emax II does. On page 48 of the Emax manual there is no reference for
the input being monitorable thru the output, whereas in the Emax II manual this is clearly
stated. Is the VU Mode/ gain meter moving? Before we go looking for other problems first
see if the meter is showing any input and try adjusting the gain, making a sample and
then playing the sample back.
