1. Create a new sequence preset 2. Each track in the sequencer represents a MIDI channel. So, Track 1 = Midi channel 1, 2 = 2, etc.. The sequencer takes control of the MIDI channel assignments regardless of what channel your preset is assigned to. 3. Set the tracks you want to use to "r" for record (remember, the tracks are basically the MIDI channels) 4. "record" about 1 second of nothing then stop the recorder. Just blank, don't play any keys. 5. Assign presets to the tracks. the kick preset to track 1, snare to track two, etc....I think it's sequencer-setup-2 5. Turn on super mode (sequencer-setup-6) 6. Also, good idea to assign a blank preset to the unused tracks to avoid unwanted sounds being played. Also, set the sequencer trigger start to OFF to avoid the floppy disk kick-starting everytime it gets a MIDI clock signal. 6. MIDI channel 1 on the Protools output will now play the kick, channel 2 will play the snare. etc.. --- Another option would be to copy all your percussion to a single preset, assign them specific key ranges and trigger all the sounds using a single MIDI channel. Super Mode works best if you are using full keyboard range sounds where you would need to play the full octaves. Percussion can be combined and assigned to a single preset and any key on the keyboard. Easier. --- J R <bjbearorl@...> wrote: > H E L P ! > > Here's what I'm trying to accomplish: > > I ADORE, DESIRE, LOVE, and CHERISH the drum, > percussion, and piano samples on my EMAX II > keyboard. > I do not enjoy having to trigger them one at a time, > render them to audio tracks and repeat in order to > have control over each separate track in Pro Tools > LE. > So I cracked open the manual and read the > Multi-timbral sections and followed the > instructions. > > > I created a Bank with 16 presets, each preset > assigned > to a corresponding MIDI Channel (1-16).
