Does the diode have any bearing on the velocity senstivity? I ask because I have one key which starts defaulting to velocity value 1 about ten minutes after the machine warms up. Cleaning makes no difference (no surprise really) and sending it for repair is going to be too expensive to justify. But if there's any chance a simple replacement diode will do the trick, I'm happy to give it a try. -----Original Message----- From: emax@yahoogroups.com [mailto:emax@yahoogroups.com]On Behalf Of Chris Strellis Sent: 23 September 2005 10:02 To: emax@yahoogroups.com Subject: [emax] Re: Emax keys Hi, The contacts are definately wires. I had a non-triggering key on my Emax SE and no amount of cleaning fixed it. It turned out to be the glass diode for the key - it had actually been shattered in transit. I replaced it with a 1N4148 and everthing came good :D Cheers Chris
