Does the diode have any bearing on the velocity senstivity? I ask because I
have one key which starts defaulting to velocity value 1 about ten minutes
after the machine warms up. Cleaning makes no difference (no surprise
really) and sending it for repair is going to be too expensive to justify.
But if there's any chance a simple replacement diode will do the trick, I'm
happy to give it a try.

Hi,

The contacts are definately wires.  I had a non-triggering key on my
Emax SE and no amount of cleaning fixed it.  It turned out to be the
glass diode for the key - it had actually been shattered in transit.
I replaced it with a 1N4148 and everthing came good :D
