Emax

hello there, i'm new to this list.
i just bought an emax rack without psu (well, it was there, but all the
wires were cut, i did remove it).  i  searched  the list archive and
read about original psu replacement issues.
but what about using a normal pc power supply? they are everywhere to be
found for cheap and able to feed those +-5v and 12v emax needs.

So should i buy one of those pc psu, or collect more money and get an
original one (if epr electronics can deliver it in italy)?
aren't they the same thing after all?

thanks, i hope to revive it soon.
(it seems the problem was someone plugged it into a 220v socket, but i
was setted for 110v. hope the psu is the only thing that got burned)
