It would be a matter of getting yourself some 25-pin ribbon cable, some connectors and screws and making a hole in the back of the unit. Of course, only attempt this if you have a fairly good understanding of working on electronic gear, though it is mostly a mechanical effort. In other words, mechanical activity has a tendency to leave things like metal shavings and such, and that would be bad to get into your electronics. > -----Original Message----- > From: Niklas Olsson [mailto:niklas627@...] > Sent: 26 September 2001 09:12 > > Hi all! > > I was thinking what is the difference between Emax Plus 1.0 and Emax > SE HD 1.1? The software version is independent of the hardware version. Any machine can run the latest software. The SE moniker is a software only feature (i.e. it runs on any hardware) that means 'Synthesis Enhanced' and adds some some wacky ways to create new waveforms. Spectrum Interpolation is like an Additive Synthesis system combined with some time based parametric shaping control, and Transform Multiplication is a way to combine (convolve) two waveforms together to make a new sound. Kind of like a weird form of morphing two sounds. I think there may be some other features, or at least bug fixes in 1.1, but I can't remember of the top of my head. It's probably better than 1.0 ;-) Scott
