Re: [emax] 'Disk Error!'

2006-03-26 by Aaron DeMatteo

hey dave,
thanks. i will try that. i sort of think it still works too. it has identified unformated disks asking if i wanted to 'format disk' but that doesn't seem to pan out either. i have a bunch of collection of ~70 disks from somebody, i'll try some others and the cleaner. thanks.

  Aaron.....
Either the disk you are trying to load is corrupted or
your drive could be dirty. Office suppy stores sell a
drive cleaner that might solve load and read type
  problems.
What are you trying to load.....is it the only disk
  you have ?
Hang in there, your drive is running and it will
probably load for you eventually......any more info on
what it's doing will be helpful.

  heya,
i just bought an emu emax with the se upgrade. (i've
  never used one of
these before). when i put a disk in (any emax disc)
  is starts by
'loading bank' and then i get 'Disk Error!'

the guy i bought it from thought the disc drive might
  be bad??????

  any words of wisdom? thanks.

  aaron.
