Ian, within a few weeks there will be program available that can copy
your floppies to ZIP disk. I'm still working on it but the major
features of the program are ready.
I will release a beta-version of this software EMXP on this group
within a few weeks. Some of the functions will still be disabled but
reading/writing from/to EMAX-II ZIP disks will definitely be enabled
(both 100M and 250M disks).

To the other group members:
EMXP will not support ZIP disks for EMAX-1 samplers !!!
The reason is that I can't test this feature: I simply don't have a
ZIP-enabled EMAX-1 sampler.
However, I'm pretty sure the specs are the same for both EMAX-1 and
EMAX-2. So if some people want to test this feature on EMAX-1 there
are two options:
- I can post a special version of EMXP in which the ZIP function for
EMAX-1 is enabled but not tested at all...
- Or I'll post a small program that captures the specifications of
the emax-1 zip disk. If some of you run this program and send me the
results, I can enable the ZIP function for EMAX-1 in the near future.

About downloading banks from the internet:
There are some EMAX banks available for download on the web, but the
largest one (from Dave) has disappeared...
You can still try this site:

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
