Emax

Hello, I got an old Apple CD150 cd-rom Drive, I tried to use it but when the Emax tries to locate the drive it gets stalled, 
nothing happens, it's not an scsi problem because I have an Olympus MO drive and it works neat, I tried to use another cd-rom 
drive and it indicates that it's not an Emax II drive, any ideas about what could be the problem ?
