Hey there---

  1: Is SE v1.1 the latest version of the OS for my machine?

Yes- unless you have SCSI, in which case it is Plus 1.0 which has  
SCSI and SE in it.


2: Is there any chance of obtaining a SCSI kit for it???
Only by finding a dead one and stealing the chips currently :-(

3: Is the keyboard aftertouch sensitive - the few disks I've tried
don't seem to have any presets that use aftertouch?

Dunno....


4: The LCD backlight is pretty dim, is there a replacement EL
backlight available for the Emax?

You can find them. If route66 studios doesn't have em, you can source  
em. I got some from Murphy's Electronics about 3 yrs ago- it took 3  
months, so I ordered 2 at about $15 apiece, That did not include  
pins, I had to solder those on.....


5: Are there any "SE" labels/stickers I can obtain to put that
finishing touch to my unit? (I did see some mention of this in one of
the message threads)

Not that I know of.....
