Emax

Picked up a Quantum Prodrive lps 250 from a apple computer.
Tried to get my Emax II to recognize it, But all I get is a half bootup 
from my floppy drive and then a lit up blank lcd.
Drive is set to scsi id 1 and parity is on.
The drive powers up quick.Do I need to Terminate the drive?
If so how do I do it?
