i'm in the bay area but am not a service tech. Maybe try the analog heaven mailing list, they probably know someone. I had a similar problem on my Emax I which was more or less resolved by opening the keyboard up and reseating the multipin connectors that run to the pcb that the lcd is connected to. Reseating the voice chips on my matrix-6 seemed to work wonders when I suddenly had a missing voice.

            Hi Everyone,



I have an EMAX II Rack with an LCD scree that lights up bright blue but there is no letters on the screen.  It looks like the unit works but there is nothing on the screen.  Any ideas as to what the problem is?  Anyone know anywhere in the Bay Area that would service this unit?
