I'm thinking about putting my Emax on eBay as a spares or repairs project for someone with more time and soldering skills than I have. Here's its history: A week after I bought it, under a year ago, the power supply died on me. I spent a load of time and over sixty quid sourcing a replacement which I fitted without a problem (thanks to the help of members of this group). Flushed with this success, I thought I'd have a stab at replacing the LCD, on which the backlight had withered and caused a high pitched whining sound. Again I got a lot of good advice from this group and spend another 30 quid or so on a replacement. Unfortunately, my soldering skills are not up to par. So now I've got a Emax 1 SE (no SCSI or hard drive) in good condition apart from the fact that I've removed the LCD and not been able to fit the replacement, which I still have ready to be fitted. I also have the manual, the SE upgrade manual supplement and disks plus a fairly large sample library on floppies. I'm thinking of giving it a starting price of 50 british pounds and letting it run as an auction. However, if anyone from this group is interested I'll put a buy it now price for the same amount on it Anyone who's interested should be aware that I can't test the machine in it's current state so can offer no guarantees, but it had no other issues before it took the LCD off. In fact it worked perfectly and I wished that I'd just put up with the pale display. If you search this list for my name you'll find a history of the help and advice I've had and get a better idea of the machine. All the best, Alan
