It is now possible to re-create the SCSI chip sets required to put SCSI into Emax I keyboard and rack units. The SAME RULES APPLY that did before as per the SCSI upgrade docs at Emulator Archive- a rev 3 board will take the chips- no mods if I recall..... a rev 2 board needs modified a rev1 cannot be upgraded. I have full Chipsets in stock. The cost of the kit is $50 USD + shipping. Here is your chance to get SCSI! THIS SET DOES NOT INCLUDE A HARD DISK or the- but can be used with SCSI Zip, SCSI Compact Flash / SD, SCSI hard drive, etc. IDE CF works via an ACARD SCSI adapter..... This set does not include an "external SCSI adapter board", or external connector. To provide that would increase the cost of the kit. Each set of chips will be tested in my Emax to verify operation prior to shipping. Kit also includes: 28-pin socket for the EPROM and some connect wire for the mods that need to be made. HD-capable Emax OS disk (either SE or Non-SE) You will need- A SCSI drive A short SCSI Cable ( I will supply this with kits as I can, but may be determined by local availability -if you don't need one let me know). A mounting plate (make one or a 5 1/4 to 3 1/2 in drive bay converter kit / rails may work for this purpose also. A power splitter - I am not including this as I have different reports as to whether this is needed for all emax. Soldering skills The PDF from Emulator Archive on how to do the modification. I need the following information from those ordering: Is your emax rev 2 or rev 3 (so I know whether I need to supply the socket) Is your emax SE or Non-SE? (So I supply you the right disk). If I don't hear from people on the group, I will start posting the chipsets on Ebay next Monday. Regards, Ted Summers Paypal accepted: djtbs1@... [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
