I would love the first one too :-) The second one I don't understand, are you referring to the Emu EOS series ?? The SF2 conversion is a big challenge, because SF2 is a very flexible format. This means that a lot of choices must be made when converting banks to a "simple" format such as the Emax one. E.g. if there are 6 layered voices in SF2, which two of them must be selected for pri and sec voice in the emax, and which ones will not be translated at all. This is just an example, there are tens/hundreds of other problems like this. The other way around is a lot easier ! So I was going to implement that one first (SF2 to Emax, Emulator II and Emulator III). But I have to admit I didn't spent a lot of time yet on the SF2 features. It's on my list, together with Ensoniq Mirage support and perhaps also Korg DSS1 and Casio FZ1 support. And the serial communication for Emu samplers of course ! ///E-Synthesist --- In emax@yahoogroups.com, "Niklas Noren" <niklas627@...> wrote: > > It's great to se that emxp still developing. > > But there are 2 things that I would love to see in future versions of > emxp. > > 1) sf2 conversion to emax format. > 2) emxp develop to be an eos-link version to emax. > > cheers/ > niklas > > > --- In emax@yahoogroups.com, "esynthesist" <esynthesist@> wrote: > > > > Something I forgot to say: the newest version of EMXP supports the > > Sound Designer for Emax file format now (version 2.06). > > But you still have to copy the files between your PC and your Mac > in > > order to transfer the banks to or from the Emax, just like with the > > Sound Designer for EII files. > > > > FYI: > > > > 1/ Sound Designer for Emax files are almost the same as EMX files, > > but they contain additional bytes.
