Hi,
MIDI Sample Dump on the Emax is rather basic. The Emax can not initiate, but
it will respond to a request to transfer. Check you have a preset loaded
with voices, and that Awave is pointing at the right MIDI channel, preset
and voice. Try loading a preset and voice into 00 rather than 01. Make sure
there is no other MIDI mergers between computer MIDI interface and Emax. All
the usual MIDI SDS hassles !! I am sure some one on the list has done this
!

OK, how do I do that? I remember once doing a MIDI sample transfer
between the emax and another sampler, and though the result wasn't
astounding, at least there was a data transfer. Now, I can't find a
way to initiate a sample dump from within the emax, and it doesn't
respond to a request. I've searched the menus as well as the manual.
I'm using awave (PC). What could I be doing wrong??

  All help very much appreciated
