It sounds like that your Emax doesn't find your disk drive or you 
using damage diskettes.

Do you have a hard disk in your Emax2?
Disconnect your hard drive, if you have.

Have you try to format brand new disk in your Emax with different 
Emax software. It doesn't matter if you using 1,44MB. The Emax only 
can read 715 and recognize 1,44 diskettes as 715kb.

You can also try to get a "disk drive cleaning diskette" and cleaning 
your disk drive from dust.

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
