Hello Jammie, I've decided to get the rack working. A guy I know in Southampton will rebuild the power supply for £35 - £40 + parts. The other issue is the output board. I'm going to take it over to him next week to have a look at. As the output board was in perfect working order a couple of weeks ago, I'm hoping it is something simple, in which case it shouldn't cost much to repair. In all honesty, I was hoping that I could just transfer the motherboard, and daughterboard into my Emax II keyboard, I would then fit a HD, and I would be a happy chappy. OK, the remaining Emax II rack parts would be surplus to requirement, but I know there would be plenty of parts that other board user would be able to make use of. Many thanks again All the best Dave --- In emax@yahoogroups.com, "jammie.emma" <jammie.emma@...> wrote: > > --- In emax@yahoogroups.com, "bty54193247" <goodrobot@> wrote: > >if the mother board works then its just a power supply issue this > should cost you max £80 parts and labour > > jammie > > Hello Tristan, > > > > Well, I tried the motherboard swap, and the Emax II rack motherboard > does indeed work > > with the Emax II keyboard, but, for some reason the extra memory > doesn't appear, which > > is quite odd.....I can't figure out why? > > As a sub note.
