SCSI Upgrade Kit Availability and Installation Service

2009-01-06 by Ted Summers

I am considering discontinuing the SCSI upgrade kits.

I have 8 kits left.
After the 8 are gone, I have to buy another set of 20 SCSI controllers.
I have about 60 PAL's (enough for 60 kits), so those I don't need more
stock of.
EPROMs I can buy in quantity or singly, so not a big deal....

If more than 8 people are considering the purchase within a year, then I
might be willing to buy the next set of 20 SCSI controllers....depending on
response....

The other option would be to continue to make the EPROMs and PALs, and sell
the kit for less.
But people would have to source the SCSI controller themselves..... it can
be difficult to do that for single IC's from my experience...
The chip sellers have minimum orders, which is why I have to buy 20 if I
want to get them at a reasonable price....

Remaining kits still $50 USD + shipping.

Installation service (includes the kit above, but installed) - for those
that are not comfortable with modifying a board themselves.
US only at this time....

$100 USD + shipping.

I take paypal: djtbs1@...

Additional notes-

#1) I have 12 floppy converters available that allow one to install a TEAC
FD05HG slim floppy into your emax rack or keyboard to sit above your Zip or
CF drive.....
This allows you to still have a floppy and your internal Zip / CF Drive- all
in the original slot on the front of your rack or keyboard.....

$7.00 + shipping.

#2) I have a Baldwin IKE keyboard (with no description of the buttons/
functions).
I have an overlay with mine that shows all the functions.
I am considering having it reproduced.

How many Baldwin IKE keyboard owners out there would want this?
If there are several I can look into the costs to get it duplicated, to see
if it is worthwhile.....

Regards,
Ted
