Hi If EMXP can successfully write sound banks to a floppy disk which has been formatted by your Emax, and this bank doesn't load on your Emax, then you might have serious disk drive calibration differences between the drive in the Emax and the one in your PC. If that's true, there's not a lot that can be done... EMXP (with OmniFlop) supports the most common disk calibration for Emax, but some Emaxes out there deviate from this common standard. If EMXP formats a disk on the PC, it only creates a physical layer on the floppy disk, consisting of 80 tracks, 2 sides and 10 sectors of 512 bytes each. The format process does NOT write any operating system to the disk (this is different from the old EMX for DOS software). To make the disk bootable, you must - as a second step - write one of the Emax OS files to the disk with another menu option in EMXP (see Manage Emax OS files). ///E-Synthesist --- In emax@yahoogroups.com, "ariaraker" <lokornhill.atsea@...> wrote: > > Hi, i succeed one time to load an emxp created bank in emax. > Now i build another one and when i load it, emax don't boot normally. > Strange characters appears on screen after 10 seconds of > "Emu software inc software loading" and that's it. > > I tried to format disks with emxp before creating the bank, then i tried formating in the emax with os 1.1HDSE, OS2.3 before creating the bank in emxp but result was the same. > I tried different floppys too. > > Strange because my emax only created disks load normaly. > > Someone can help please ?
