Re: [emax] Re: Question on O/S versions

2009-04-28 by nung242

I have a standard zip100 scsi, not the plus. I cant even get to the format part, my emax detects the drive, says its not an EMAX disk, but gives me the "Different software Revision!!"
message when I try to format. I get the same message on a lot of other menu items, like the whole synthesis menu. I can't format a floppy either, I had to use EMXP to format my floppies and load sounds.
I want to transfer the large library of sounds I have to zip100 till I can get the CF card setup.
Thanks for all your time, the EMAX community is great.

which type of zip100 is it? i have an iomega zip100 'plus' version which i fear is not compatible with the emaxII.. (can someone verify this?)....the emax sees the zip drive, sees that the disk is 100mb, but when i formatted it says disk not formatted. if i try to load form the zip, i get "this is not an EMAX disk". i also get "Different software revision!!" if i try to use some menu items in master says as the emu bird run thingy.
