I have used an Zip 100+ with Emax 1. I have seen the error message you indicate when the OS on the floppy you are trying to write to does not match the OS loaded in memory...... Whast happens if you- boot from a floppy. format new floppy. copy OS to that floppy from the floppy you booted from. now make changes and save to the floppy you just formatted? I would not expect to see the error then.
