Most floppy drives have a DS select jumper that's solder bridged. Look for that and de-solder it. Solder the correct bridge and you should be good to go. Of course a jumpered drive is way easier, but people want too much for them most of the time. I lucked out and found one at a thrift shop for 90 cents :) Good luck!
