Re: [emax] SCSI CF drives on ebay.

2009-08-22 by Ted Summers

I received the PCD-50B drives.

They successfully boot the emax from PC Card Slot.

However, they have Read-Only firmware. So all these drives from this
seller are Read Only.

I have got to find out if I can get a R/W firmware or see if I can mod
the firmware.

I will keep you posted.

Regards,
Ted

the PCD47b is only 3 slots (well.. thats what the one I put in my mpc
has)

I'm hoping to have a few 32mb cards here soon to try a PCD47b out with,
in the emax, though not sure it will work - I want to try it.

will probably keep that drive for my mpc, but getting the 32 meg cards
because I figure that eventually I'll have a drive that will work with
them in my emax.

have the standard scsi 1 protocols for it to communicate with the emax

yeah - old SCSI devices always seemed a bit funny about what functions
got implemented from device to device, and what would work with what.
