Will the external zip drive option allow me to boot the os and sounds without having to load for 2 mins like the floppy drive?. I have to always have a disc in the floppy drive which I dont like.

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
