It's a Mac Classic with the 9" screen, running OS 6.0.7. I'm not sure the OS matters, Turbosynth itself seems to run fine. Even the virtual MIDI keyboard within Turbosynth sends notes to the Emax, so I have proven that the Mac serial ports work, with MIDI, at least. --- In emax@yahoogroups.com, Elk Latham <elk_latham@...> wrote: > > So are you on a Mac classic? or are you saying you you are on classic OS 6.0,7? > > > > > ________________________________ > From: roberth909 <friction@...> > To: emax@yahoogroups.com > Sent: Monday, September 28, 2009 10:58:42 PM > Subject: [emax] Emax I and Turbosynth > > > I'm trying to use Turbosynth 2.0 on a Mac Classic OS 6.0.7 with an Emax SE 1.1 via RS-422 and all I get from Turbosynth is a message that there is a communication problem. Is anyone else using Turbosynth with an Emax and what is your secret to getting it to communicate? I used the information on emulatorarchive. com to wire my own RS-422 to Mac Serial cable, and I double checked the wiring to make sure the signal is wired as described and is passing through the cable. > Thanks, Robert > > > > > [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] >
