I have to chime in here. I have ordered a couple items from Ted and they have been great. The last one was one of these drives and I had a problem with the packaging also. When I took it out of the box the pieces of foam were so large I couldn't get it back in! Next time warn me about the teddora's box, because after I opened it it was too late =).
That being said. ALWAYS buy insurance, ALWAYS! I have worked with guys who worked at UPS and those guys threw around packages for fun. UPS is the worse of the three majors (DHL isn't counted since I have had a single CD from the UK delivered and that is all). That being said, FedEx which has the best track record with me delivered my 1st Emax, the one I was seeking so much help for, with a large punture hole and a non-functioning keyboard range. But FedEx is a quality company, with insurance, and I unexpectely found a check in my mail one day.
Given the shipping company itself won't be held responsible for the products they ship without insurance it is hard to hold the seller accountable.

Subject: [emax] SCSI drives / upgrade kits available
Currently available:
PCD-50b SCSI drives (used- they will be working as Single slot PC Card
drive in the Emax, but they are NOT new).
9 SCSI Upgrade kits
4 Slim Floppy converters (5 additional en route from vendor).
PLEASE NOTE- This is the last batch of drives I was able to get. When
they are gone, that is it.
Another NOTE: I received word a person received their drives and the
front plastic was damaged.
If this is a concern- you should pay the extra for shipping with
insurance.
International shipping with insurance is more expensive, and you may
wish to consider that when purchasing.
I can't be responsible for shipping damage.
That said, I do take care in packing as much as I possibly can, with
what I have available to pack with.
Regards.
Ted
