Yes, the drive works with Emax 2. I don't have an Emax 2, so I cannot make a bootable flash for you. I only have 32MB flash, and the Emax 2 can use much larger (I believe up to 1GB). As to PCMCIA adapter, they are easily available. A known working item is MCR-5A you can get them off ebay for about $10 . You can store many banks on the Emax 2 on one flash. I don't know exactly how many banks.... Bank load time is a couple of seconds. The EMAX II I have has the SCSI kit already installed, so this drive you offer would work? Another question, are you including the PCMCIA card adapter and a bootable memory card with the latest O/S on it? If not what would be the extra cost? I would love to just be able to boot up and access the sound banks off of one drive, instead of booting off a floppy, then loading a new floppy everytime I want a different sound. Thanks! I am told the PCD-50b also work with: Korg DSS1 Akai S5000 Kurzweil K2500X Oberheim DX1 They were "spoken for", but those persons have never followed through and paid. And its been weeks. So anyone wanting to purchase these, I still have them. First come first serve. $30 each, they boot Emax, ready to go. $12 to ship insured in US, international varies, so you will have to contact me direct for the quote. Pictures of the drive, an example of a slim floppy and drive combo installed in a keyboard, and other tips and information related to Emax SCSI are here: http://djtbs1. spaces.live. com/ I also have for sale: Emax 1 SCSI update kits available. ($50) Slim floppy converters for $17.50 to allow you to put a standard SLIM TEAC FD-05HG and a Zip or PCD-50b in the slot where the original floppy would be. 4 ATAPI IDE Zip drives with SCSI bridges. 1 black 2 clear dark grey (like in a Mac G4) 1 is white. Selling for $20 Each. The bridge can be set for ID0 to boot emax and will mount internally in the Emax Rack (especially with the floppy converter) OR an external enclosure. I cannot recommend putting the Zip with Bridge in a keyboard as the SCSI bridge interferes with the keyboard keys.....so it doesn't physically fit in the available space. You can make a cable to alleviate that, but it costs like $10 for parts to make the cable. :-( Regards, Ted [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
