test each wire conection
orange and green wires red probe on the orange black probe on the green for +12v
yellow and green wires red probe for yellow wire black probe on the green wire for +5v
purple and green wires red probe on the green wire black probe on the purple wire for -12v
test this for me and give me your readings
does the floppy drive work as this is the 5v line
the 5 v on the mother boards for other circuits gets its 5v from power regulators of the +12v supply

So I tried testing the voltages at the connector that goes between the PS board and the CPU Board. I tested on the PS side. If I follow the color coding I read in a message on here somewhere: Yellow (+5V), Orange (+12V), Purple (-12V), and Green (0V/Ground).
I get nowhere near those voltages...now I might be doing this completely wrong, but I get +12V at the Green wire, and 0v at the Yellow (where I should be getting +5V). I also get +17V at the Orange wire...
Again, I'm not sure if I'm testing at the correct points. By the way I'm still getting sound out of the Emax so it has not exploded in my hands as of yet.
