dont have to connect the voltage red selection cables as the new psu is auto switching from 110-250v ac
the pins on the psu are identical and there is enough slack to accomodate
and epr are now selling them at very reasonable rates
ill have your old psu off you as i scavange them for critical components that you cant get any more let me know when you get the new 1

Subject: [emax] New user saying hello but also has problem...
Hi everyone,
Picked up a mk1 emax the other day for a snip and have been loving it.
However, just as I've started to get into it, it has up and died on me! I suspect the power supply, it was fine and now nothing, no noise/lights at all.
I scanned through old posts and found the link to this replacement:
http://www.eprelectronics.com/store/html/Products/E-mu-Darwin-Model-4000-/Power-\supply-Emax-Darwi-68.html
Before I click the buy button I just wanted to ask about the plug orientation, my plug sits vertically onto the PSU and the replacement looks to be edge-on - is there enough room to accommodate?
Also, there are a few wires that look to be for voltage selection, do they just solder straight to available pins on the new board?
Thanks in advance,
Norm
