When I looked up that 9346B it was so cheap I will just get a few so I have em in case anyone gets scrambled megs. I will put it in with an order for other ICs and sockets, so no biggie. You might need to fill some sockets with DRAM if it's a 4MB model. If it's a 2MB I don't think it will have the board and you don't have any options besides stereo. The card reader makes loading banks a lot faster and once you get there, it will format a 1 GB card. The only problem I didn't realize until later is that it will only be able to use something like 400MB of it due to bank limitations. It's still more than plenty for me and flash is cheap. If you run into any problems with the EEPROM image I would like to hear what they are. I haven't heard much since I uploaded it, so I guess it's working out. BTW I am running that image on a 9346B chip and it works fine. You might even have one laying around on an old modem card.
