I'm pretty sure Musicparts.com don't have distribution rights; they are not mentioning anything about this on their site and their watermark is only on each page of the PDFs for guaranteeing "authenticity". This means (indeed) that this group doesn't have these rights neither. It's up to the moderator to decide. The 77MB version mentioned on this group is the one sold by Rob on emulatorarchive; there's the same issue regarding distribution rights I guess, although Rob has/had proven record of having a close connection with E-Mu... Anyway, I personally am very happy with a company like Musicparts.com because at least their existence gives us the chance to obtain many of the documents we want, and their PDFs are pretty high quality scans in a very compact size. Their prices are unfortunately rather high - probably because they know that many copies will be made "out there" once they have sold a few of them. --- In emax@yahoogroups.com, Ted Summers <djtbs1@...> wrote: > > So, if I understand this right- > the musicparts.com may not have actually been licensed to sell this and now > have stopped providing it. > > To me, this would indicate that someone who IS licensed for the intellectual > property is still defending their right to it and most likely filed a cease > and desist or some such. > > The second part of this supposition would be that to place the file in the > group files section could result in a problem for the group. > > Regards, > Ted > > > 2011/5/24 el macaco <elmacaco@...> > > > > > > > > > I would love the PDF as well. > > > > Thanks, > > > > > To: emax@yahoogroups.com > > > From: leljmssf@... > > > Date: Mon, 23 May 2011 22:14:43 +0000 > > > Subject: RE: [emax] emax service manual > > > > > > > > > hello > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > the yousendit is gone ! > > > > > > > > > tell me if you got the file and "ma devise : partagez mais ne vendez pas > > ! share is the best way for music" > > > > > > > > > bye > > > > > > > > > best regards > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > jm > > > > > > To: emax@yahoogroups.com > > > From: ckmoffatt@... > > > Date: Mon, 23 May 2011 13:45:43 +0100 > > > Subject: Re: [emax] emax service manual > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Hi there, I would also be interested in a copy as well please. > > > > > > > > > > > > Regards > > > > > > > > > > > > Chris > > > > > > > > > > > > On 23 May 2011, at 10:41, andrè <leljmssf@...> wrote: > > > > > > > > > > > > > hello > > > > > > > > > > > > > > I see your post for the emax service manual, I have one, the pdf weight > > 76,8 Mo, the author is Riley B.Smith, I used this manual to repaired my > > emax, i have other documents for emax and emax II, manual, ads, tell me if > > you want it on the group, I can put it on the files part ... if the admin is > > ok, tell me ... > > > > > > > best regards > > > > > > > an emu fan !!!! > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] > > > > > > > > > > > > ------------------------------------ > > > > > > Emax and Emax II User's Group Website > > > > > > http://www.silveriafamily.comYahoo!
