RE: [emax] emulator archive disk corruption?

2002-09-22 by Robert Keeble

Hi,
Some users have reported that some EMX files on www.emulatorarchive.com are
corrupted, however its worth checking you are using DS/DD diskettes that
have been formatted on an Emax before being written to with EMX, and that
you run EMX under native DOS (not in a window).

I will be remaking all the EMX files in the future and putting them on a PC
CD for users. This should cure any remaining corruption issues.
Unfortunately the EMX downloads will be removed from the site soon, as I
need to conserve space.

Hello!! A couple days ago i have downloaded the demo disks from the
emulator archive in emx format. Now the question is, some of these
disks sounds perfectly when i put them in my emax II, but a lot of
the banks sounds horribly and other don't even look to load in the
  emax.
Is this common with the disks of the emulator archive, maybe the pc i
use don't write the emax disks correctly (note that a lot of banks
  works perfectly), any ideas??
  Thanks a lot!!!!!

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
