it sounds to me that this was not connected in the first place

impossible for spade connectors to come of during transit

or the psu coming loose

get back to the  person who sold it you as they are pulling your leg saying 
the board must have come loose sounds like a broken psu that some one has 
played with trying to fix it and did not put it back to gether again 
properly
