Re: [emax] Sample slice possible on Emax?

2011-10-05 by Matt Livingston

Dang it. It just snapped in my head. What a pain to copy the presets the truncate the samples that way. Was this process easier in the SP1200??

> Hello again. So I know I can use recycle to make my loops but I really want to do it all in the Emax so that's the meaning of my persistence. So I tried again and still can't figure it out. The manual confirms that unless the sample is being used in another preset it will not prompt you to make a copy before truncation. The manual also states that if two voices in the same preset use the same sample then any changes will affect both voices. That's my problem, copying voices in the same preset doesn't work as any truncation affects all copies. Am I just way off in the process and is there another method? Am I just going to have to truncate and then resample the vinyl for every loop here? Seems like it should be much more efficient.
