IC 9 has a chip where an Emax 2 is MONO. IC 10 has a chip where an Emax 2 is STEREO. You would never have BOTH IC9 and IC10 locations filled at the same time. Also- you cannot just take IC9 and put it in IC10 slot to make it stereo either- the IC is different. This is covered in the Emax 2 Stereo upgrade guide available on the web.
