On the inside* there is present a 68 pin cable and a mounting plate for a hard drive.
This 68 pin cable does infact plug into a maxtor drive that I have the 540s, but that drive doesnt work.
I also kept a hd from a mac which has what looks like to be the 50 pins.
So more specifically my question is, is there hope to use this drive if i convert the existing cable down from 68 pins to fit into the smaller
pin slot on the drive?

any subcribers know if it will work out for me to convert the the cable end on the 68 pin
scsi cable internally to fit my 50 pin apple hard drive? i'd hate to spend $10 bucks and have it not work.
The drive i have is a 250mb quantum prodrive that came out of a mac performa 630 i believe.
