It's me again who started this thread and I have a question: Fortunately I finally managed it to make the display run again but one line of pixels weren't working. So I decided to disassemble the unit again conviced that I know what I have to do. Just a very little more pressure. Then I reassembled the unit and started it and what did happen ?! (http://www.flickr.com/photos/75453658@N08/6813384329/lightbox/) I could cry... I tried to change the pressure.... more .... less ... doesnt help... cleaned the contacts doesnt help .... everything for around 20 times I believe that the display itself works, because I can see that the pixels on the left side flash if I want to load a bank (but the display simply can't show it). Can you help me ?... Maybe other recommendations? Thank you so much ! --- In emax@yahoogroups.com, Louis van Dompselaar <louis@...> wrote: > > Yes that's what I did. Flatcable across the top of the PCB and soldered to the back. Works a treat. Didn't want to spend too much anyway as EMAX IIs go for next to nothing over here, sadly. > > > Op 30 jan. 2012 om 20:31 heeft "jammie" <jammie.emma@...> het volgende geschreven: > > > yes i see its the same size when next to each other but if > > > > it was to use the same connector it would be much higher > > > > to use that dispaly you will need to hardwire the connection like we do on the vfd you wire single cables leaving a small lopp of cable so that when you fit the display theres is enough slack > > > > you will need to afix the lcd with bolts and nuts > > ----- Original Message ----- > > From: Louis van Dompselaar > > To: emax@yahoogroups.com > > Sent: Monday, January 30, 2012 6:34 PM > > Subject: Re: [emax] EMAX II Display Problems .... > > > > Check this: > > http://www.dompselaar.org/EMU/EMAX/display.jpg > > > > That's what I meant.
