Emax

i had the same problem with a acard recently it would format and write os

but after saving banks i would get hd disk errors

i upgraded the firmware and also down graded to each of the firmware revisions but still no luck

i ended up getting a new pcd-50b which works flawlessly

and use the acard with my korg trinity which is not so picky about the scsi interfaces like the older samplers
