I just fixed a DX7II-FD main board for Jon Morgan. Same symptoms floppy drive errors then all of a sudden it would not boot anymore. The floppy disk controller chip was bad. If you can find a WD1772PH controller chip (Ebay) try it and you may be back in business. This FDC chip can interrupt the CPU and prevent it from booting.
