I don't think SCSI problems affect RS422 or vice versa. The first thing you should check in EMXP is whether the "RS422 Host Time Out Fast Speed" preference parameter for RS422 Emax-I communication is set to 5 msec. In previous versions of EMXP this parameter was set to 1 msec, but that was wrong. If that doesn't solve the problem, please note that from time to time an EmuSer works fine with an EII but not with an Emax or the other way around. In that case, replacing the C4 and C5 capacitors with either higher or lower values may solve the problem, but it's a matter of finding values which are OK for both the EII and the Emax. In general 220pF is a value which seems to work with most Rev0 and Rev1 E-IIs and also with the Emax-I and Emax-II, but I know at least one user who had to lower the cap value again... (as was originally the case in the previous version of the EmuSer) ///E-Synthesist --- In emax@yahoogroups.com, "sp1200emu" <sp1200emu@...> wrote: > > My Emuser worked perfectly with my EII with EMXP. And now it's saying Sysex error and a bunch of zeros with my Emax 1 SE HD. I pulled the back and the serial port looks fine and the machine is spotless in the inside. I hooked up my SCSI zip and nothing is happening there. The drive is not recognized and my main board is revision B so there isn't any issues there. You could eat off the machine in the inside and outside. It's mint so there isn't any abuse. The SCSI drive was pulled from the previous owner. Would this effect the RS-232 communication? >
