Hi Rob
To make your harddrive going again you could try this somewhat unusual solution.
1) Dismount the drive from the Emax II and put the drive horizontal in your hand.
2) Shake the drive left and right in your hand gently approx. 10 times.
3) Put the drive back in your keyboard and try to see if it spins up.
This will hopefulle force the plate inside the drive to turn.
I did this on a dead Emax harddrive yesterday and got it going.
Best regards

Emne: [emax] Replacement Hard Disk Drive for Emax II 2212 model
Folks,
The Internal Hard Drive on the Emax II model 2212 that I recently bought, seems to be completely had it and thus needs to be replaced. What brand / size of SCSI HD would you recommend I buy and from where on the Net?
Thanks kindly in advance,
Rob.
