Re: [emax] Molex cable for scsi device

2012-12-18 by jammie

you can create an new cable with the original connector but

you need an amp push down tool

and other end you need some new floppy mini molex crimps

and some cable

the crimperts are £300+ in price for molex connectors

you can do a bodge type by using inline crimps and extending the cable that way but you would need 4 crimps for that

but if you are doing the a hd upgrade you will need to make a split for a male molex hd connector

it works out cheaper to by ready made cables than to start from scratch

once the crimpers are braught

its easy to make your money back but if your just doing 1 device then its cheaper to by cables and either get the corect extender gender changers

or use connector blocks oe crimps to make a one off cable

with the correct molex connectors

yes Jammie i can imagine you knew that already! my answer was to Al,
on my side i was thinking of recycling the original connector on pcb
digital board side so there wouldn't be extenders going around. have you
  ever done that?
