I don't believe they are socketed. you have to desolder the EEPROM and then
you could copy the content.
Otherwise, you lose the info that you have how much memory....that is my
understanding.

Someone had a file for the max memory, but I never got that to work - maybe
I did something wrong....

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
